Brad Keselowski’s Checkered Flag Foundation (BKCFF) announced we are providing support to first responders in communities affected by Hurricane Florence.

RK Allen Oil Company, based in Talladega, Ala., and the provider of fuel to the jet dryers at  Talladega Superspeedway, graciously donated 8,000 gallons of fuel to be used by first responders in the affected areas. Darlington Raceway, H&L Logging, ALSCO and Bojangles' have also jumped on board making contributions to the campaign. Courtesy of their generous donations, and the overwhelming support of fans, BKCFF is able to cover the costs associated with the transportation of fuel to the Jacksonville, N.C., EMS compound. The fuel delivery was made on Monday, Sept. 24.
Epoch Eyewear is kindly donating one pair of safety-rated sunglasses for every pair of BKCFF sunglasses purchased during the United 2Gether campaign. The BKCFF sunglasses are available for purchase at www.EpochEyewear.com.

On Wednesday, Sept. 26, BKCFF headed to Jacksonville and Swansboro, N.C., to deliver supplies to rescue workers. The foundation teamed up with "Y'all Eat Yet?" Street Food & Catering to provide hot meals to first responders that are working tirelessly in the impacted communities. "Y'all Eat Yet?" is a southern-style food truck that was created out of adversity when former Hammerhaed's Oyster Bar owners, Mitchell and Heather, lost everything in back-to-back floods. The BKCFF made an additional visit to New Bern, NC on Thursday, Oct. 4, to again provide lunch for and deliver supplies to first responders in the wake of Hurricane Florence.

During the race weekend at Dover (Del.) International Speedway, Würth ran the United 2Gether logo on the TV panel of Keselowski’s No. 2 Ford in the Gander Outdoors 400. On Sunday, Oct. 7, Würth soldl beer mugs at their hospitality event with a percentage of the proceeds being donated to the established relief fund. Würth also auctioned off items to their guests to raise additional funds, plus collected donations for the cause. In addition to their activities for their at-track guests, Würth gave 3"x3" pieces of the car away with every donation of $100 or more made to the United 2Gether campaign during the Gander Outdoors 400 at the Monster Mile on Sunday, Oct. 7.

An online campaign was created in the wake of the storm to raise donations for hurricane relief efforts and first responders working in the affected areas.

To date, more than $50,000 has been raised through the United 2Gether campaign. BKCFF plans to announce additional partnerships and ways we will serve the immediate needs of the first responders in areas impacted by the storm as they participate in the campaign.

Corporate partners, businesses or groups who wish to join in this initiative may reach out to Suzanne@CheckeredFlagFoundation.org to discuss opportunities for support. For additional updates, follow the Checkered Flag Foundation on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
